I have done a number of cookery courses and this was clearly the best by some way.

At the conclusion for the class we were told that our certificates would be emailed out to us later. As yet I have not received mine.

Mbak, we were so happy that night. The candles along the path were so delightful, the performance was excellent, the food was fantastic, and the staffs were so helpful and well trained. We were so impressed with all the service you gave us. Not once that we were not satisfied! We had a blast! The birthday boy and girl definitely were enjoying all the attention from your staffs.



On behalf of our family and friends, we would like to say thank you very very much for you and the team of Rumah Bali. Definitely we will come back (to have another party) again. You're the BEST!



Mbak, keesokan malamnya, hari Minggu, kami berdelapan dinner di Bumbu Bali (ex Warung Sate). Untuk masukan aja nih mbak Diah, service-nya casual sekali ya dibandingkan dengan Bumbu Bali yang kakaknya. Atau mungkin karena pak Heinz lagi nggak ada malam itu ya? Juga, dua tamu terkena serangan Bali belly sesudahnya. Hmmmm... kenapa ya? Mudah-mudahan masukan saya ini bisa meng-improve Bumbu Bali adeknya.



Sayang beribu sayang, waktu saya datang ke Rumah Bali, mbak Diah udah pulang, jadi nggak bisa ketemu deh. Mudah-mudahan lain kali.

Rooms were simply furnished but very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. Very peaceful and relaxed. Great Balinese village ambience. Great pool.
Bumbu Bali cooking school was sensational (and gratis for a booking of five days or more).
The boss (Heinz) and his deputy openly encourage personal and professional development of the staff.
Heinz is doing a lot of research into traditional Balinese recipes and old cooking methods; he is determined that the "old ways" will not die out.

We really enjoyed our experience with you and your team. The cook book we purchased has provided many excellent meals. Fortunately we can obtain virtually all ingredients quite easily with the help of “Herbies Spices”, even fresh galangal and turmeric is available locally.

We hope to return to Bali again next year and would definitely recommend a visit to your restaurant and cooking school. The background you provided to the Balinese culture really enhanced our experience and though I have been a visitor to Bali for over 30 years I was amazed how much more there was/is to learn.

My wife and I had a fabulous experience in preparing and enjoying the delicious cuisine of Bali. We consider our selves very fortunate and blessed to return to Bali yearly for the past 5 years.

Can you recommend an excursion with Turtles Unlimited or a point of contact/ colleague?

Since experiencing the local seafood market, merchants and local catch of the day when we spent the day with you all, I recall your efforts to both save the sea turtles and to educate the community/ local fisherman.

Is there a refuge or sanctuary where we can observe the sea turtles?

While watching Animal Planet / Discovery Channel, there was a segment on the sea turtles of Bali and the efforts to protect, save and educate the community-- you were highlighted during the episode.

Thank you for all you and your staff do to share Bali through flavors and cuisine of Bumbu Bali!

I am so sorry for not contacting you FIRST to thank you. That day with you and your staff was one of the best days of my life. I have never had much confidence for cooking, but, I have always aspired to treat my family and friends to good meals as an extension of my hospitality and love for them. Not only did your instruction make me feel I could certainly do this, but, your passion for the culture of the cuisine of Indonesai and Bali instilled a recognition of the inportance of food in retaining / passing on cultural identity and that which is the most important of all human needs - togetherness.

My apologies that this email is late. I hope your trip to Australia went well.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for hosting such a wonderful dinner for my group last Monday May 25th. Everyone still talks about the fantastic experience from the time they got onto the dokar, and then welcomed by bare bodied men doing the kecak dance, and the whole Balinese village extravaganza at Rumah Bali. You really made a lasting impression to my guests and I sincerely appreciate that.

The function at Rumah Bali was the least of my worries as I know I would be in good hands. Your attention to detail from the food to the whole Balinese experience that night also contributed to the votes that we got that our 15th technical conference was the best they have ever attended.

I know of a few guests who plan to go to Bali in a month or so and asked for the details of your restaurant.

Thank you so much for everything, and I hope to visit you again soon.
